Written on Saturday, 20 January 2018 | January 20, 2018

  •  All-purpose flour 2 cups
  • Sugar 2 cups
  • Cocoa powder 3/4 cup
  • Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Milk 1 cup (lukewarm)
  • Water 1 cup (lukewarm)
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350 F.
  2. 2. Grease nine inch baking pan with butter and sprinkle little flour.
  3. 3. In a large mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt, stir well until everything is blended well.
  4. 4. In another mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla, and whisk to combine. Then whisk in the lukewarm water.

  1. 5. Now add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir until combined. Then pour the batter into prepared greased pan and transfer them to the oven.
  2. 6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, or with a crumb or two attached.
  3. Cool the cake for 10 minutes in the pans on a wire rack, then loosen the edges by running a knife along the sides, turn the cakes out onto the racks and cool for at least another hour, and frost with your favourite frosting.
