Kung Pao Chicken

  •  KUNG PAO CHICKEN

  • INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken boneless 500 g (cubed)
  • White pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oil as required
  • Garlic (chopped) 1 tsp
  • Peanuts peeled a handful
  • Capsicum (cubed) 1/2 cup
  • Spring onions (sliced) 1/2 cup
  • For Sauce:
  • Soy sauce 1/4 cup
  • Szechuan sauce 2 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce 2 tbsp
  • Ketchup 1/4 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar 3 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp

  • METHOD:

  • 1. In a sauce pan add all sauce ingredients and cook until thick paste forms.
  • 2.Marinate chicken with salt ,black pepper and white pepper and little oil for 30 minutes.
  • 3.Heat oil in a pan and saute onion and garlic until golden brown then add chicken. Cook for 10 minutes or until the chicken is done.
  • 4. After that add cooked sauce and chopped Capsicum in it. Cook over low flame for 2 minutes.
  • 5. Dish it out and garnish with peanuts and serve hot.
