Vegetable Biryani

SPICY VEGETABLES BIRYANI

INGREDIENTS:
  • Rice 1 kg
  • Potato 2 (Boiled+ cubed)
  • Carrot 2 (fine slices)
  • Peas (Boiled) 1/2 cup
  • Capsicum 1 cup (cubed)
  • Turnip 1/2 cup (fine slices)
  • Cabbage 1cup (chopped)
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Onion 2 medium(sliced)
  • Ginger & Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper Powder 1 tsp
  • White pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • Yellow or Orange color a pinch
  • Green chili 3-4  
  • Tomato 4 (chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • All spices powder 1 tsp
  • Whole all spices as needed
  • Yogurt 1 cup

Method Vegetable Biryani

1. First boil rice with salt in a pot and strain them when 1/4th water remains. Keep at side.
2. In another pot, heat oil add onion, ginger garlic paste and fry until light brown.
3. Now add tomato, turmeric, red chili powder, black pepper powder, white pepper powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, yogurt and whole all spices, cook for 5-7 minutes.
4. Now add boiled potato, peas, carrot, capsicum, cabbage, turnip. Now cook for 3-5 minutes. Vegetables are ready.
5. Firstly spread a little vegetable gravy in a pot.
6. Then Spread a layer of boiled rice over it.
7. Repeat the process 3-4 times.
8. Now add food color mixed with one tsp water.
9. Steam Biryani over very low heat for 10-12 minutes.
10. Your tasty Vegetable Biryani is ready to serve. Garnish with coriander, lemon, green chillies.
